Dr. Jane L. Van Middlesworth - Ph.D., Music Teacher, Northern Guilford Middle School
Hi. I am Dr. Van Middlesworth. You can call me Dr. V. You can guess why.
I have a daughter and a son who are grown and a great dane (Sadie) who keeps growing.
I have played clarinet and saxophone in several professional orchestras and bands over the years.
My favorite movies are: "Drumline" (of course), "Radio", "Remember the Titans" and "The Blind Side" (all football movies?).
I have taught band in Tennessee, Texas, and New York, as well as North Carolina. Mostly, I am a Band Head. I can't get enough music. I am all about good music. I am hoping that you will be too.

Mr. Brandon R. Davis - Marching Band/Drumline Instructor
Brandon is a student at GTCC. He founded and taught the first middle school drumline in Guilford County when he was in the 8th grade and has taught drumlines ever since that time. His drumlines have won many awards.
He writes the music for the Northern Pep Band, Drumline, and Marching Band.
Mr. Davis recently gave his initial sermon at his church and it was amazing!
He is the reason we were invited to the Gator Bowl.
We are proud to have him on the music staff at Northern.
